Display: Screen size is measured diagonally. Actual diagonal screen size of the 24‑inch iMac is 23.5 inches. The displays on the 13‑inch and 15‑inch MacBook Air with M2 and the 14‑inch and 16‑inch MacBook Pro have rounded corners at the top. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screens are 13.6 inches, 15.3 inches, 14.2 inches and 16.2 inches diagonally (actual viewable area is less).

Colour Availability: iMac 24″ colour availability may vary.

Performance Compared with 24‑inch iMac (M1): Testing conducted by Apple in September and October 2023 using pre-production 24‑inch iMac systems with Apple M3, 8‑core CPU, 10‑core GPU, 24GB of RAM and 2TB SSD, as well as production 24‑inch iMac systems with Apple M1, 8‑core CPU, 8‑core GPU, 16GB of RAM and 2TB SSD. Adobe Premiere Pro (Beta) 24.1 tested with Scene Edit Detection using a 2-minute and 19-second project with Apple ProRes 422 HQ media, at 1920×1080 resolution and 23.98 frames per second. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of iMac.

Performance Compared with Intel‑Based 21.5‑inch iMac Model: Testing conducted by Apple in September and October 2023 using pre-production 24‑inch iMac systems with Apple M3, 8‑core CPU and 10‑core GPU, as well as production 3.0GHz 6‑core Intel Core i5–based 21.5-inch iMac systems with Radeon Pro 560X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, all configured with 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. Tested using Super Resolution with Photomator 3.1.2 and a 4.4MB image. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of iMac.

Touch ID: Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is included with iMac systems with 10‑core GPU and is available as an option on systems with 8‑core GPU. Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is available as a configurable option.

Storage: 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = 1 trillion bytes; actual formatted capacity is less.
