Belgrave St Bartholomew’s Academy is a two form comprehensive primary school in the heart of the community in Longton. The school was built in 2002 and was an amalgamation of two local primary schools. In 2017, OFSTED judged the school to be Outstanding. Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy is one of 19 academies in St Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust.
They started their 1:1 journey in 2019 and it continues to have a direct positive impact on their whole school community. The use of technology has allowed them to ensure that all learners, including the most disadvantaged, have access to high-quality teaching and learning. Technology has bridged the inequality gap that exists in their demographic due to high levels of social deprivation, EAL families and SEND learners.
Apple technology allows their staff and children to innovate, create and evaluate their own learning journey. They feel the iPad devices prepare their children for the world they will work and live in by developing critical thinking, communication and personalised learning.
